About the Elizabeth Barrett Browning Archive

Created and co-ordinated by Marjorie Stone and Keith Lawson. Foundational work for the EBB Archive was funded by portions of Standard Research Grants from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Materials include annotated texts of selected poems, tribute poems to EBB, and contextual materials edited by Marjorie Stone and Beverly Taylor to supplement Elizabeth Barrett Browning: Selected Poems. Annotated excerpts from Aurora Leigh draw on collaboration with Sandra Donaldson Additional scholarly, critical and media resources for the website were prepared by the Dalhousie project team as a digital surround for The Works of Elizabeth Barrett Browning , in partnership with Sandra Donaldson's and Crystal Albert's University of North Dakota Elizabeth Barrett Browning Project

Project Team

The website is hosted at the Electronic Text Centre at Dalhousie University with the assistance of Vivien Hannon and Bruno Roy. Home Page Design by Peter Chiykowski, Keith Lawson, Marjorie Stone, and Bruno Roy. The TEI template for encoding the poems was designed by Meagan Timney and Keith Lawson, facilitated by expertise shared by Professor Laura Mandell of Miami University, Ohio, host of a 2009 NINES workshop. Encoding of poems, scanning and/or inputting by Kala Hirtle, Peter Chiykowski, Vasana Abeysekera, Andy Murdoch, Lesley Newhook, James Stevenson, Meagan Timney, and students of Keith Lawson's INFO 6620 class in (Winter, 2009). Content for the annotated guide to EBB's correspondence developed by Marjorie Stone, Julia Swan, and Ryan van Huijstee, with updating of Aurora Leigh entries by Lesley Newhook. The database to deliver the content was created by Keith Lawson with RA assistance from Jodi McLaughlin.
